VISION STATEMENT

San Antonio Students will be able to read for information and enjoyment, write intelligibly, think critically and numerate well, be upstanding citizens of good character, use technology efficiently and responsibly, and value a healthy lifestyle.

DISTRICT GOALS 

Learning:  The SAUESD believes that student learning is our first responsibility.  Each student is a valuable individual to be treated with dignity and respect.  Each student will have the opportunity to obtain high levels of academic achievement in order to reach full potential.  We believe that the responsibility for creating independent lifelong learners is shared by the student, district, family and community. 

Responsibility: We believe the SAUESD is to serve the students by providing the most appropriate education for each child through rigorous academics with high expectations.  We believe that all students and their families have a personal responsibility to take full advantage of the educational opportunities provided by the district.  We believe the community has the responsibility to support the efforts of students and staff at SAUESD. 

Environment & Climate:  SAUESD will provide safe and secure facilities and implement procedures that are fair and equitable to promote a positive educational environment, thereby empowering students to make positive, responsible choices We believe it is the responsibility of the SAUESD to promote a climate of respect and cooperation among staff, students, their families and the community.  We respect and recognize the unique contributions of the staff in creating a positive learning environment.  We will treat all students, their families and all staff members with fairness, respect and understanding. 

Community & Communication: We believe that parents and community members have the responsibility of being actively involved in the students’ successful educational accomplishments and development of independent life-long learning skills. Active communication among parents, community members, and SAUESD is essential to ensure the success of all the goals and objectives.
