The Austin House

The Austin House is located at 40 Central Avenue. It was built in 1886 and it has never been moved. The Austin House has been changed into an office and a health clinic.

Its style is Queen Anne and Colonial Revival. The architect is unknown. It is a two story house. It has gingerbread above some windows. It has lots of windows and the two main ones have stained glass at the top.

Horace W. Austin lived in the house. He was a pharmacist in Salinas.

The original palm trees are still there.
