GAMBETTA ACTIVITIES

At Gambetta, we have many activities, ranging from dances to rallies. Our Student Body Activity Director, Jacquie , plans many, along with the help of our vice-prinicpal. Many of the activities we have are: Activity Days once a month, day and night dances, field trips, Friday Follies, reward trips, spirit days, sports, student council and the Yearbook/Journalism class.

By far, the favorite among them are night dances. Planned by either the PTC or the student government, our night dances have a DJ, special lights and, sometimes, tons of decorations. For more than two hours, we get to talk with friends, listen to cool music and have fun on the dance floor, plus the money raised is always for a good cause like the eight grade graduation or the Student Body's funds. There's no better way to spend your Friday nights at school!

Two other favorite activities are the Activity Days and the end-of-the-year reward trips. Once a month, we have Activity Days where you can go to many rooms throughout the school and do whatever you feel like. Sometimes there are dances, and there are always a couple of movie rooms, or, if you feel like it, you can go on the field and play various sports or just hang with your friends for a few periods. It's a break from school for a little while to reward students for good behavior. The reward trips are trips to Great America, Raging Waters, and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, the local amusement parks.
